Four Run Seventh Dooms Surge

SANFORD, FL – Four runs in the seventh inning for the Seminole County Naturals propelled them past the Space Coast Surge, as the Surge fell 7-5 in Sanford on Saturday night.

Victor Ferrante led the Surge at the plate as he went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.

Steve Pearson went 1-for-2 with an RBI double and two runs scored. Jimmy Mojica also had a two-bagger, his fifth of the season.

Stantrel Smith and Steven Wright also drove in runs for Space Coast.

Surge starting pitcher Jake Laber went six innings and allowed three runs on four hits and struck out two Seminole County hitters.

Space Coast will close out their series in Sanford against Seminole County on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
