Jim Gabella – Field Manager

Gabella, who currently manages the Burlington Bees of the Midwest League, a Class A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, has been involved in professional baseball for more than 25 years.

He was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 10th Round of the 1976 draft out of Deerfield Beach High School in Deerfield, FL, and has been a player, scout, coach, manager and extended spring training coordinator over the last quarter decade.

Gabella has been well known for his work with minor league athletes and fits perfectly into the FWBL philosophy of teaching and development.

Steve Foucault – Pitching Coach

Steve Foucault, currently the pitching coach with the Evansville Otters of the Frontier League will serve in the same capacity for Jim Gabella and the Space Coast Surge. Foucault, a six year Major League veteran was a 43rd round pick of the Washington Senators in the 1969 MLB draft. He is now in his 16th season as a pitching coach and will bring a wealth of knowledge to the Surge staff this winter.
