 Mike Koons, 24, is a right handed pitcher from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. An undrafted free agent signing of the Houston Astros in 2007, Koons spent parts of two seasons in Houston’s minor league system before joining the Sioux City Explorers in 2009. He will be another asset for Steve Foucault and the Surge bullpen.
