Ferrante, 24 was a 16th round selection of the Colorado Rockies in the 2006 draft. He spent parts of three seasons with the Rockies, accumulating more than 30 HR’s before his release. A true power hitter, he spent 2009 with the Shaumburg Flyers of the Northern League where he led the team with 18 HR’s. He will be a solid addition to the middle of the Surge lineup.
